7-128 Software's Eleanor Robinson to Speak at Games for Health '08
Eleanor Robinson, Chief Operating Officer of 7-128 Software, will be speaking on the ALERT Project at the Games for Health 2008 Conference May 7-9 in Baltimore.
Robinson's talk will focus on:
- Where to get accessible games
- What features to look for in accessible games
- Suggestions for how to use accessible games in health settings
- Who to go to for help (ALERT Accessible Games Experts)
The emphasis of the talk is upon the use of accessible games in a health or rehabilitation setting. This includes health eductation, brain training, and distraction from unpleasant or uncomforatble situations.
Also included will be a brief discussion of how the International Game Development Association / Game Accessibility Special Interest Group made the ALERT project possible.
The talk will outline the 7-128 Software Accessibility Rating System, and the importance of accessibility in game development.
